Congratulations to Rasika Nayak, voted our October 2022 EotM (Employee of the Month).
Rasika was praised for being helpful, prompt, proactive and a pleasure to work with. Mention was also made of her attention to detail and reliability.
When do you Nominate?
Normally staff are asked to nominate team members at the beginning of the month following the award, so for the October 2022 EotM award this would be in early November. Normally this award would then be presented late November at our High Wycombe HQ, but for the last few months of the year, we prefer to present the awards at our Christmas Party. Not only does this allow a greater audience for the awards but it is a festive occasion too.
Why do we have an Employee of the Month award?
At Smartcomm we have a superb team, and our business success is testament to their dedication and hard work. However, for employees who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, focus and have gone far above and beyond their remit, either in the month of the award or over an extended period of time, we felt extra recognition was needed.
Staff are always asked to nominate their team-mate, with a reason why they think their colleague should win an award. Nominations are requested each month; the votes are counted, and all comments are noted (to be shared with the individual after the award is presented). We do not necessarily present an award every month. For months where very few votes are received and there is no clear winner, the award is not presented. We would rather miss a month than hand over an award for the sake of it.
