Well done to Becky Wilcox, voted our February 2022 EotM (Employee of the Month).
As well as praise for her helpfulness, cheerfulness and understanding, it was pointed out how invaluable Becky has been to the team recently. She has worked tirelessly to cover for colleagues while successfully onboarding a new starter, taking the time to welcome Rasika into the business and help with her development, training and day-to-day needs. Well done Becky.
When do you Nominate?
While the award is for February 2022, nominations were requested in the first week of March. Staff are asked to nominate with a reason why they think their colleague should win an award. We normally present the award at our High Wycombe HQ in Halifax Road, gathering staff together to present the award. This allows us to share the achievements of our winners to a wider audience.
Why do we have an Employee of the Month award?
At Smartcomm, we have a superb team and our business success is testament to their dedication and hard work. However, for employees who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, focus and have gone far above and beyond their remit, either in the month of the award or over an extended period of time, we felt extra recognition was needed.
Nominations are requested each month; the votes are counted and all comments are noted (to be shared with the individual after the award is presented). We do not necessarily present an award every month. For months where very few votes are received and there is no clear winner, the award is not presented. We would rather miss a month than hand over an award for the sake of it.
