Congratulations to Chris Alley, voted our September 2022 EotM (Employee of the Month).
Chris was nominated by colleagues who praised him for his great attitude and for constantly going above and beyond to make sure every aspect of his projects, from design to delivery, are done accurately and to a high standard. He was also praised for being very good with clients and for being efficient and proactive. Well done, Chris, richly deserved.
When do you Nominate?
Normally staff are asked to nominate team members at the beginning of the month following the award, so for the September 2022 EotM award this would be in October and staff would be given the whole month. This month, due to scheduling, nominations were requested at the end of September and beginning of October for the September EotM award.
Staff are always asked to nominate their team-mate, with a reason why they think their colleague should win an award. As usual, we presented the award at our High Wycombe HQ in Halifax Road, after gathering staff together to witness the award presentation and hear the praise for our colleagues.
Why do we have an Employee of the Month award?
At Smartcomm we have a superb team, and our business success is testament to their dedication and hard work. However, for employees who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, focus and have gone far above and beyond their remit, either in the month of the award or over an extended period of time, we felt extra recognition was needed.
Nominations are requested each month; the votes are counted, and all comments are noted (to be shared with the individual after the award is presented). We do not necessarily present an award every month. For months where very few votes are received and there is no clear winner, the award is not presented. We would rather miss a month than hand over an award for the sake of it.
